Our Nations

Drawing on Our Diversity to Design a Common Future

In our journey through the Humanity Hexagon, we arrive at a crucial facet: "Our Nations." Here, we embark on an exploration of how nations raise up their people and how people, in turn, raise up their nations. It's a complex interplay that, at this juncture in world history, takes on new significance.  Behind us is a history of external conquests.

Before us is a future of national self-development, forming economic and social cultures that cultivate human potential.

The Evolution of Nations:

Throughout history, nations have often been defined by shared back-stories and uniform cultural identities among all their inhabitants. But today, the tapestry of cultures within nations is far more diverse. Waves of humanity have migrated across continents, forging diverse populations within every nation's borders.  In this new era, we aspire to build forward-looking nation-states that are deeply committed to universal values of dignity and equality for all their citizens.

Noble Nations and Their Goals:

Nations earn their nobility not through force and grandeur, but by fostering universal access to education, healthcare, and opportunities for participation in economic and governance processes. Effective self-development is marked by collaboration and consultation. What is beginning to emerge around the world is a fascinating consultation between two distinctive populations:   First Peoples, (indigenous peoples) who embody an enduring connection over millennia to specific lands and waters, are in many places engaging in dialogue with globally-mobile populations who have arrived in recent centuries. Whether ancient or recent, the interaction between place and people gives rise to distinct national philosophies, cultures, economies, and self-governance.
